Unlike many high school students, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life the moment I entered high school. While all of my friends were spending all of their free time goofing off, I was busy planning out my future. I had several meetings with the guidance counselor at my school, and we both agreed that I would make an excellent teacher. I already had plenty of experience teaching quite a few of the other students in my school.

My part time job during high school was that of the tutor. Yes, I was one of the smartest kids in school, but I also understood what it took to get things done. I did not wait until I finish high school to try and determine what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I started looking at online teacher certification programs when I was in the 10th grade. I quickly learned that I could get almost all the certification I needed to become a teacher online. I was already really good with computers, and this just seemed to make more sense to me.

I started researching online schools, and I was very surprised at what I learned. There were plenty of great online schools that offer the world, but not all of them offered what I needed the most. I needed to find a school that would offer bcba certification online. This was very important to me, and as it turns out, not every school was offering this. I am glad that I started to do my research ahead of time because  as it turns out, not every school offers this.

The next thing that I needed to figure out was where I was going to attend college. If I went the online route, then I was not really going to be physically attending anywhere, and I would be able to get my degree much faster. This seemed like the best decision to me. This was definitively the route that I was going to take, but there was one very important thing that I almost overlooked. I needed to get my special education degree in case I wanted to help children with disabilities. This simply meant that I needed to find a school that offered this as one of their services. This seemed simple enough, but once again, I was surprised to learn that not every school offered this type of degree. I had to make sure that I had everything covered, and my research was turning out to be the most important part.
