The Case Corporation was founded in 1842 in America and produced threshing machines in its infancy. In 1912 the production of agricultural equipment and machinery for road construction has been extended. In 1957, Case acquired American Tractor Corporation – manufacturer of excavators and it is known as a company in the field of Construction. The Case Corporation, with its machinery brands Case CE (Case Construction Equipment) merged for Construction and Case IH (Case International Harvester, since 1985) for agricultural machines in November 1999 with New Holland CNH group. Good to know: one of the founders of Caterpillar, Benjamin Holt, is considered the inventor of the chain drive assembly for tracked vehicles.
